But the earth was formless and waste not the sea.
The watery deep had darkness on it. And the watery deep was not the seas. They came about after the waters under the heavens were brought together in one place.
...why have you left the god and his son?.

JoenB75 - you said chaosbattle.
If you think Hugh Ross' figures seem reasonable, then that's what you think.
TBK - allegedly walking before the creation of Adam.
...why have you left the god and his son?.
JoenB75 - Hugh Ross is making it up.
...why have you left the god and his son?.
JoenB75 - Creation before beginning? You say there seems to be some aftermath upon chaosbattle going on. I've never come across chaosbattle in the Bible. But you say this was before the beginning of Creation. Who told you this? How do they know? Where did they get their information from?
And how could they see with their eyes that God's spirit was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters? And how did they know that God spoke and things were created? But when it came to man he formed him out of the dust of the earth? Then he blew life into him. Why didn't He just say "let man come to be".
TBK -
Adam lived for 130 years then he became father to Seth. After fathering Seth Adam lived on for 800 years.
800 + 130 = 930. Not 913.
Compare Gen 5:3
And Seth only lived for 912 years.
Arpachshad only lived for 438.
The ages continued to diminish (Gen 6:3) until you get to 70/80 years of age as a general rule but some can live longer - which is what we have today. (Psalm 90:10)
...why have you left the god and his son?.
JoenB75
Yes the Bible does start with the words "In the beginning" the next bit of that sentence tells you what happened in the beginning.
...why have you left the god and his son?.

Why are you talking about dates? The Bible does not deal with dates and that is the point. Adam became father to Seth - therefore Adam existed before Seth. Seth existed before Enosh - and so on and so forth. This is a chain of events, with each event exactly timestamped so to speak, resulting in Jesus Christ.
You can put any date you want on Adam's creation but all else in the chain must reflect whatever date you put on Adam's creation. So the date is of secondary importance to the actual passage of time.
You cannot put exact times on the supposed events in the Evolution Myth. And the very fact that an evolutionist would say, as you have said - "about 150,000 years" shows there is doubt and a lot of uncertainty. If you put another zero on that number, would it matter? Does it have to be exact?
The Bible is exact regarding time.
...why have you left the god and his son?.
JoenB75 - if you think that Genesis is a myth please would you explain to me why it is set in time?
Myths start 'once up a time' or 'a long, long time ago' - like the evolution myth does.
...why have you left the god and his son?.
Why does Israel exist?

You say:
the basics of evolution although the Bible never adresses the issues of evolution, pro or contra
Please note - there are 365 DAYS in a common year. In a leap year you get 366 DAYS. In a lunar year 354 DAYS.
Whatever calendar you are on, those DAYS get grouped into months. We are most familiar with the 12 month calendar - so I'll say 12 months pass and that group of months is known as 1 year.
Now whether you believe it or not, the Bible states that Adam lived for 930 years. Therefore there must have been a DAY when Adam was created from which you start to count the 1st year of his life.
It is the same concept of a child being born. When it is born, it has not evolved. It has grown in the mother's womb for 9 months, then the point of birth is counted as it's birth day. Once the child has lived outside of the womb for 12 months it has lived for 1 year.
The Bible does not describe Adam as being in the womb for 9 months but created in one day. Thereafter living 930 years, then dying.
Now you don't have to believe that. That is your choice but the description of Adam's creation in the Bible firmly rules out evolution.
